Why breed identification matters
Knowing your guinea pig's breed is more than trivia. Coat type determines grooming needs, a Peruvian needs daily brushing while an American barely needs any. Hairless breeds need warmer rooms and more calories. Size affects cage planning, and some breeds have characteristic health tendencies worth watching for.
