Wheeky: Guinea Pig Identifier
Identify your guinea pig's breed and explore health guidance, now with Food Scanner, Sound Translator, cage setup, and Poop & Pee Checker. Keep food, communication and everyday care questions together.
Breed identification from a photo
Snap a picture and the AI identifies your guinea pig's breed, including mixed breeds, and explains the exact features it matched: rosettes, coat texture, crests, coloring, and more.
Symptom checker
Describe symptoms or photograph a concern and get general guidance: possible causes to discuss with your vet, how urgent it may be, and what you can do at home right now, from diet adjustments to cage changes.
Guinea pig specific guidance
Most vets are trained on cats and dogs; guinea pigs need an exotic vet with cavy experience. The guidance is written around published guinea pig care sources, so it focuses on cavies, and it always points you to an exotic vet when signs are serious.
Urgency guidance
Guinea pigs hide illness until it's serious. The app suggests whether a sign looks routine, worth a vet visit soon, or urgent. If you are unsure, call an exotic vet.
Food Scanner
Check harmful-food information, vitamin C values, and how much and how often to offer a food, with daily or weekly serving guidance. Individual dietary needs still belong with your exotic veterinarian.
Sound Translator
Explore guinea pig sounds with Sound Translator. Consider posture, surroundings and usual behavior alongside any interpretation; a sound alone cannot prove an emotion or diagnose illness.
Cage setup
Keep cage setup guidance alongside your guinea pig's other care tools. Review space, flooring, hiding areas and access to hay and water using reputable welfare advice and your own observations.
Poop & Pee Checker
Support everyday observations with Poop & Pee Checker. Changes in droppings or urine can need veterinary attention; the checker does not diagnose illness or rule it out.
Why guinea pigs need an exotic vet
Guinea pigs have unique anatomy and medication sensitivities; several antibiotics safe for dogs can be fatal to them. Good guinea pig care requires an exotic veterinarian with real cavy experience, and those vets are rare. Wheeky Identifier helps you notice changes early and prepare good questions for that vet. It is not a diagnosis, and it cannot examine your pig.
Educational support only, not veterinary advice. If your guinea pig stops eating, struggles to breathe, or seems weak, contact an exotic vet right away. Find one through the AEMV vet finder.
